The Bangladesh Army denies any conflict with Yunus’s interim government, affirming full cooperation in national security efforts.

  The Bangladesh Army has clarified that there are no disagreements or divisions between the military and the interim government led by Professor Muhammad Yunus. During a press briefing at Army Headquarters on Monday, Brigadier General Md. Nazim-ud-Doula, Director of Military Operations, dismissed media reports suggesting a rift, stating,   "The government and the army are working together in perfect coordination. There is no room for misinterpretation." He emphasized that the military operates under the government’s directives to safeguard national security and sovereignty, adding,  "We firmly believe in continuing this collaborative effort in the future."  The briefing also addressed issues like the Corridor dispute, Kuki-Chin, Pushin, and the Army Chief’s recent remarks.

Consensus Commission Meeting Calls for Electoral Reform and Investigation Body

On Monday evening, a meeting of the Consensus Commission was held at the state guest house Jamuna, presided over by Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus. During the meeting, commission members briefed the Chief Adviser on the latest progress of dialogues with political parties. According to a press release from the Chief Adviser’s press wing, Yunus emphasized raising public awareness to encourage voter participation and ensure a safe election. The idea of forming an independent commission to investigate irregularities in past elections was also discussed. Commission Vice President Professor Ali Riaz stated that all major political parties have already agreed on these issues.
